Is this regulatory advice?
No. ReNieuw is only intended to be your best friend. Test your formats and get quick answers; you probably wouldn't ask your best friend to do your taxes for you. For binding compliance assessments, work with a qualified consultant. We can refer you.
Is this even accurate? How often are rates updated?
Don't trust us, try it out for yourself. Our tool is as accurate as the calculation methodology published by DEFRA. When new data is published, we update. The current dataset reflects 2025/26 confirmed base fees and plastic tax rates effective April 2025.
Can I try before committing?

How does the RAM rating get derived?
From your component materials first (PET rigid = Green, PE flexible = Red, etc.), then standard attributes apply downgrades — carbon black, opaque PET, PVC contamination, sleeves and compostable packaging can only make it worse. Final aggregate uses worst-rating-wins per RAM Section 8. You can override with a formal RAM result if you like.
Do you cover other countries?
No. ReNieuw focuses entirely on UK pEPR and the plastic tax. Narrow scope, deeper coverage.
